Strengthening Young Minds
Dedicated to holistic, integrative care-supporting the emotional, social, cognitive, and academic growth of every child and adolescent.
My Approach
Over the course of my career, I have worked extensively with children of varying ages and developmental profiles, as well as their families and schools. My work is guided by the belief that every child can thrive when given the right support in an environment that understands their unique needs.
I combine clinical expertise with a warm, compassionate, and practical approach. Whether conducting assessments, providing therapy, guiding parents, or consulting with teachers, my goal is always to empower children to grow in confidence and resilience, and to support the adults who play a vital role in their development.
My approach is holistic and integrative. I work closely with children, their families, educators, and other professionals to provide meaningful, integrated support. By considering the psychological, emotional, social, behavioural, cognitive, and educational needs of each child, I aim to create the most therapeutic path forward. For me, integrated care is the most therapeutic, as it draws on the strengths of different perspectives and disciplines to support the child in the most effective way.

About me
Andrea Goldblatt, Educational Psychology
I am an Educational Psychologist in private practice with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, parents, and educators. My professional journey has been guided by a deep commitment to helping children and adolescents thrive, and supporting learners in overcoming barriers, building resilience, and reaching their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Social Work and a MEd in Educational Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand. After completing my master’s degree in 2004, I undertook my internship at Glenoaks Remedial School, where I gained invaluable experience working with children facing a wide range of learning, developmental, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Professional Journey
Private Practice (10 years)
Following my internship, I entered private practice, where I focused on psycho-educational assessments, individual therapy, parent counselling, and school consultations. During this time, I also worked with Bellavista SEEK, conducting multidisciplinary assessments, case management, and parent feedback sessions.
King David Linksfield Pre-Primary School (7 years)
I later joined the team as the school’s Educational Psychologist. Here, I promoted the emotional and social wellbeing of young children, supported parents through guidance and counselling, collaborated with teachers, and provided play therapy interventions tailored to early childhood needs.
King David Ariel Remedial School (Clinical Director, 2021- 2025)
In 2021, I was appointed Clinical Director, overseeing the therapy department and leading a multidisciplinary team of therapists. I played a central role in the growth and development of the school, ensuring that children with learning difficulties received holistic and coordinated support.
I was also instrumental in founding KD Assess, a multidisciplinary service providing comprehensive assessments for children, further broadening access to high-quality, collaborative care.
